Design & Technologies in Minecraft (PL2135)

DATTA Vic is working with the Department of Education and Training to develop a schools' design challenge using Minecraft: Education Edition, which will be launched in term 4 – just in time for Design & Technologies Week! The program will be open for all students in Years 5/6 and Years 7/8. It can be done in-school or online and can take place over several weeks or during intensive sessions as part of your Design and Technologies Week program.

To help prepare you to get involved in this fantastic opportunity, we are running a series of professional learning webinars. These sessions will cover year 5/6 and 7/8 Design and Technologies Minecraft project resources and offer you a hands-on guide to using Minecraft with your students.

  • Authentic, real-world problem solving
  • Victorian Curriculum links
  • Teachers and student resources.
  • Assessment strategies and rubrics
  • Networking with D&T educators from across the state
  • A discussion on effective digital tools for teaching Design & Technologies and STEM
