Online Teach Meet - Digital Tools for Teaching Textiles (PL2140)

DATTA Vic members - join colleagues from throughout the state at our free, online teach meet where we'll explore the world of STEM in Textiles.

This session includes

  • An introduction to the work of Iris Van Herpen by Ingrid Wood from NGV. Van Herpen is a Dutch designer whose work fuses emerging technologies with traditional haute couture craftsmanship
  • A beginner's guide to wearable technologies with Karin Wunsch of Whittlesea Tech School
  • Examples of CAD projects for textiles classes with Maryann Augustinus from University High School

We'll also be inviting participants to discuss their Textiles classroom projects which have used 3D printers, laser cutters or wearable tech, so please come prepared to share!
