Wolfram SystemModeler workshops for Systems Engineering teachers - Bendigo (PL1930)

THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. PLEASE CONTACT LAURA AT PL@DATTA.VIC.EDU.AU TO BE PLACED ON A LIST FOR FUTURE SESSIONS.

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority is working with DATTA Vic to deliver FREE professional learning for Systems Engineering teachers in regional Victoria on the Wolfram SystemModeler program

Schools will be paid CRT release to enable teachers to attend this professional learning. There are two sessions running, and it is recommended teachers attend both. Numbers are strictly limited .

SystemModeler is a complete physical modelling and simulation tool which uses ‘drag and drop’ functionality to create sophisticated systems. High-fidelity models can be built using pre-defined components.  Numerical experiments can then be performed on models to explore system behaviour.

Systems Modeler is provided via a licensed download or image. Access to this software is available to install in schools and on teacher and student-owned computers. Information for how teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools can access the Systems Modeler licence can be found HEREIt is recommended that teachers speak to their school’s technician to get the software downloaded onto their laptops. Teachers attending professional learning will need to bring laptop with software already downloaded onto their device.

Each session will also focus on supporting VCE Systems Engineering teachers to implement the new Study Design with content related to developing School-assessed Coursework (SACS) and moderating School-assessed Tasks (SATs) offered. Specific details of the professional learning training offered, including dates, are described below.
