Onshape is a professional-grade, cloud-native CAD platform that students and educators can access for FREE on any device - be it a computer, a tablet or a phone - anywhere, anytime. Using it either on a web browser or through the app, Onshape can be used to create 2D drawings and 3D models and used in conjunction with 3D printing. Due to the software being cloud based, it allows for collaborative model editing, continual updates and autosaving features - which can work well for group work, especially in VCE years.
This 2 hour session is catered towards all areas of Design and Technologies but specifically teachers that are complete beginners or beginner to intermediate users of CAD programs. It is centred around developing modelling skills for Laser Cutting and 3D printing. Contemporary CAD/CAM manufacturing in the classroom.
