STATION IDEATION is the first in a series of schools' Design & Technologies challenge using Minecraft: Education Edition, which can be done in-school or online at at time that works best for you during semester 1 2022.  The competition will be open for all students in Government Schools in Years 5/6 and Years 7/8, although any school can run the challenge for their own class and make use of the new Design & Technologies resources produced by DATTA Vic and the DET.

To offer you continued support on your Station Ideation journey, we are running a drop in session on Thursday 2nd June, from 4pm - 5.30pm.

Prior to attending, you can check out the recorded professional learning session from March, as well as access all the resources HERE. Then you can come armed with your questions and comments! We'll have a Q&A session where educators can get help to enact the challenge in their classroom, and you'll also get to have a say on upcoming Minecraft Design & Technologies challenges. This is a great time to get to get to know Minecraft Education in preparation for the coming series of Design and Technologies linked challenges.

Presented by Peter Murphy 

Peter has worked in Technologies and STEM leadership roles in the Catholic and Government education sectors. He now lectures in Technologies education at La Trobe and Southern Cross Universities and in Industrial Design at RMIT University. Peter has also worked extensively with VCAA and ACARA over the years on state and national curriculum. He founded Design and Technologies Week in Australia and national competitions “So You Think You Can Design” and “TECx” (Technologies Education Challenge). He also helped to establish the Victorian Premier's Design award for VCE Product Design and Technologies and was a judge for the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science.
