In schools, makerspaces facilitate free access to interactive digital learning environments, technologies, and tools. This allows all students to explore their interests, to tinker, create and invent.
DATTA Vic, SLAV and St. Monica's College Epping are collaborating on this hands-on workshop, where we’ll bring Design & Technologies teachers and Library staff together for a morning of inspiration and upskilling.
Following a presentation by Roxanne Sumner from Siena College, we'll dive into some great, hands-on Makerspace activities, both low and high-tech, that you could easily establish in your own schools.
All participants will leave with some FREE pieces of technology that they can use back in their school makerspaces. What will you get in our raffle - a Sphero, a Pro Bot, an Ozo Bot, a Makey Makey, a Hummingbird robot, an Edison robot or maybe a Makedo kit?
Following the workshop, feel free to stay on for an informal tour of the St Monica's Library and STEM Centre.
