More information on a School Technician Roll
The salary for a School Technician is identified in the VGSA Education Support Class Salaries.
These jobs are awarded from Range 1-2 to 2-1, depending on the responsibilities the school requires. Please note that the salaries below are for full-time positions, so working 2 days per week would be approx. 40% of these amounts. (Independent and Catholic Schools have different industrial agreements, so the wages may be slightly different depending on their situation.)
Prospective employees would expect to undertake a Working with Children check prior to starting any work in a school.
If you want to know more about how Design & Technologies is taught in schools, visit the VCAA website.
And remember, it's free as a student to join DATTA Vic, so please do sign up - you'll get ongoing help, support, training options and networking opportunities
