This new award is for recognition of the outstanding contribution to the Technologies Learning Area for teachers within their first 3 years of teaching.

Criteria

• The ability to engage students
• A sound understanding of the Technologies curriculum
• Positive contribution to a Technologies team (school or community)
• And also at least one of the following:
• Involvement in setting up or assisting in new programs
• Promoting the Technologies area in the school and/or wider community
• Creative approach to technologies teaching and curriculum planning
• Effective use of a range of technologies in the classroom
• The teacher must be a DATTA Vic member
