Child Protection Policy

The Design and Technology Teachers Association Victoria (DATTA Vic) is committed to promoting and protecting the interests and safety of children. We have zero tolerance for child abuse.

Everyone who works or volunteers with DATTA Vic is responsible for the care and protection of children and reporting information about child abuse.

We adhere strictly to our Child Protection Policy and related procedures when engaging with students in the course of our work

Any presenter who delivers workshops directly to students on our behalf are required to provide either proof of teacher registration or a Working with Children check, and must sign our Child Safety Code of Conduct.

The following documents are made available for schools who are participating in activities delivered by DATTA Vic for children:

If you are a young person who wishes to make a complaint to DATTA Vic about a child-protection issue, you should immediately speak to your teacher or a trusted adult. You can then report it to the following people, whose job it is to take action:

DATTA Vic EO Laura Murphy, pl@datta.vic.edu.au or 03 9349 5809

DATTA Vic President Travis Burroughs, travis.burroughs@gmail.com or 0466 630 211.
