Please note: This is a BEGINNERS introduction to laser cutting/technology. 

One of Victoria's very experienced Product Design and Technology teachers, Felicity McNamara, will be inviting participants of this session, into the school at which she teaches! At Carey, Felicity and her department have successfully incorporated new technology into their programs while retaining the traditional projects and processes. 

This is a session for design and technologies teachers across Victoria that are looking at how to incorporate Adobe Illustrator (or other drawing CAD programs) and laser technology into their classrooms/workshops.

This session will include a tour of the facility, sample projects from Carey students and practical activities using the laser cutter. Attendees will need their computer and access to Adobe illustrator program. 

Please bring the following items:

• Laptop
• Updated version of Adobe Illustrator (or log in for Creative Cloud)

NB: A 'Trotec' laser cutter will be used on the day - this does not mean the information from this PL does not apply to all other laser cutters.
