Design and Technology at the Zoo offers educators a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills, knowledge, and confidence in contemporary Design Thinking practices.

Held on-site at Melbourne Zoo, this program provides teachers with a unique chance to explore Zoo trails and spaces while learning from industry experts and use this experience as a starting point for the design process. Participants will also engage in collaborative opportunities and resource sharing, fostering a supportive community of practice.

• How to use Melbourne Zoo to support the Design Curriculum

• An opportunity to create a support network of D&T teachers
• Useful tools to teach D&T in the classroom

Teachers will experience:

Teachers will explore the unique environment of Melbourne Zoo and collaborate to discover innovative approaches for delivering the Design & Technologies curriculum in their classrooms. This experience will inspire students to design for the future while reflecting on designs of the past.
