Hiring a Technician
Once your school is ready to hire a Technician, you will need to create a job description for the role.

The salary for a School Technician is identified in the VGSA Education Support Class Salaries.
These jobs are awarded from Range 1-2 to 2-1, depending on the responsibilities the school requires.
Most students are able to work around two days per week whilst undertaking their coursework. Therefore, schools may wish to hire two students to cover 0.8 of a full-time role.
Prospective employees would expect to undertake a Working with Children check prior to starting any work in a school.
